Obedience training and Behavioral training programs customized for your dog
JRB K-9 Board & Train is an intensive program in which your dog is privately boarded with JRB K-9. While in our care, your dog receives one-on-one obedience or behavioral training with Natural Animal Behaviorist, Jesse R. Booker. As with our private training services, the JRB K-9 Board and Train program is specifically structured for your dog's needs based on the findings from their initial 1.5hr behavioral assessment (scheduled separately).
Once your dog completes their Board & Train program, you, the owner, receive training and instruction on properly bringing your dog back into your home.
The JRB K-9 Board and Train program is best for dog owners who may not have the time to dedicate to training their dog, and especially dogs who exhibit aggressive and reactive behaviors such as: lunging, biting, resource guarding, and other behaviors resulting from negative emotions like fear, anxiety and stress, etc.
Upon the conclusion of your dog’s JRB K-9 Board and Train program, you are supported with phone consultations to ensure your dog settles into your home and continues its training. Due to the nature of aggression, strict adherence to the program at home is necessary for optimum success.
Please note:
2 month minimum* for behavioral programs
All supplies are provided with the exception of food
All dogs must be fully vaccinated, treated for fleas, ticks and parasites
Dogs deemed aggressive during their initial assessment incur additional charges as noted in the rates below
If a behavioral assessment was purchased separately, the assessment fee is applied to any board and train program
*Dogs with lengthy bite histories, and/or pervasive aggression, require an intensive two months of training. Due to the individual reasons for the aggression, behavioral training received from JRB K-9 will not necessarily cure the dog of any dangerous propensities. No trainer can make any guarantee when it comes to training dogs in a specific timeframe or completely eliminating certain behaviors. Given our extensive experience with aggressive dogs, these dogs are rarely relieved of their aggressive behavior in one month. They’ll have markedly improved after two months, however additional months is the most beneficial. Still, the behavioral training provided by JRB K-9 will help manage and alleviate the stressors that cause the aggression and subsequent biting to occur. As previously mentioned, due to the nature of aggression in dogs, strict adherence to the program at home is necessary for success.
